This is your chance to inspire, engage, and connect with a diverse audience by showcasing your work, research, or ideas. We welcome innovative and thought-provoking contributions.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

There will be three symposiums:

  • Half-day online symposium – 2nd April 2025 (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
    • Theme: Unit and course design (aligned with our university-wide Community of Practice).
  • Full-day symposium – 17th July 2025 (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    • Theme: Open, with a focus on engagement and retention.
  • Half-day online symposium – 16th October 2025 (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
    • Theme: Technology and Generative AI (aligned with our university-wide Community of Practice).

No, you only need to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) once. You can indicate your preferences for one, two, or all three symposiums in the form.

Yes, the EOI form will remain open until the end of September 2025.

Presentation and Participation

We welcome a 15min presentation, followed by 5mins Q&A.

Yes, you can present at multiple symposiums if your topics align with the themes.

Yes, all presentations will be recorded and made available through the Symposium webpage.

Yes, all presenters will receive a certificate of participation.

Yes, you are welcome to attend any or all symposiums as a participant. Registration details will be shared closer to each event.

Technical and Logistical Details

You can submit your EOI via the Symposium EOI link provided on the main page of the symposium

No, a full paper is not required. However, accepted submissions require a synopsis of the presentation to be submitted, which will be made available through the symposium website for everyone to refer to post symposium.

Yes, recordings will be made available to presenters and attendees through the Symposium webpage.

Other Information

No, the symposiums are free for all UNE staff and affiliated educators.
